Have you ever found yourself saying “I will be happy when I have enough money to pay my bills?”, Maybe you have heard yourself saying you will be happy when you get a new job, a new car, a new spouse, a new home.
The truth is if you are not happy with who you are right now, none of those things will make you happy. This is the big realization each of us has to come to if we are to move forward in our lives in anything approaching happiness.
Don’t get me wrong, it would be really cool if all we had to do was buy a new car, and live our lives happily ever after, but cars get dinnged, need service, washing, waxing, and gasoline, any of which could destroy our happiness.
So what are we to do? The only thing we can do is come to the realization that our happiness cannot depend upon any thing, any situation, or any other person. These things might add to our happiness, but they are not happiness unto themselves.
I invite you to join me on the journey to IN-powerment, and within a few weeks my second book, It’s All About Me will be a reality to help us both. Get a headstart to the publication of this book, begin to take stock as to where you have been thinking your happiness originates. Don’t throw anything away just yet, just start thinking about it, we can do the journey together.
